Kind of Big Brotherly in one respect, but sweet in another. Athena, Wilhelm the Enforcer, and Nisha the Lawbringer. I mean seriously, could the good folks over at 2K have offered a better early Christmas present? And right off the bat, no less! Players are given the usual opportunity to select their desired character based on both the quick animation sets that the series has become so famous for, and an unfortunately slim set of profile traits making up each of the possible protagonists. And in this respect, the Pre-Sequel! Perhaps the best way to illustrate my concerns would be to say that the feel of the game, while certainly one of a quality and entertaining mold, is a bit closer to a stand-alone expansion of the previous iterations of the series than a brand new, wholly independent game. I could be alone in this, and in some sense I almost hope I am, given how much I enjoyed the rest of the components of the game, but it almost feels as though the Pre-Sequel was willing to sacrifice the initial story development for the speed of just getting into it all.

The Pre-Sequel was more Borderlands? I mean, it’s a true statement, as this third iteration in Gearbox’s Diablo with guns franchise is just that, an iteration. Passed to 2K Australia, and staying with the last generation because it made the most fiscal sense, this mid-quel remains mostly the same as the game it precedes in story, though the changes it has brought make a solid and noticeable impact. Make no mistake though, Borderlands:
Does the PC version of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel support split screen play? No, online online co-op is supported on the PC. There may be mod support in the future to enable it.
Moxxi calls them “Sugar”. Tiny Tina calls them “Shawty”. Handsome Jack calls them “Bandit. Later on, he calls them “child-killers” after Angel’s death. None of the Vault Hunters wears symmetrical clothes and none looks worse because of it. All Vault Hunters love guns and are all overjoyed upon seeing a weapon of decent rarity. Even bruisers such as Brick and Krieg love themselves a shiny new gun. Huge Guy, Tiny Girl: Lilith and Roland for the first set of Vault Hunters. In a non-romantic example, Roland and Brick with Tiny Tina.
There’s also Deathtrap though he’s a robot to Gaige. They’re seen this way in-universe. To be a Vault Hunter means that you are a badass.

More Borderlands than you can handle Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel launched on previous-gen platforms in October of , the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 had already been available for nearly a year. Many Borderlands fans like me who would otherwise be the prime target of The Pre-Sequel had already moved on to new consoles. This year, we got our wish! Not only did The Pre-Sequel recently make its way to new-gen consoles, it also brought Borderlands 2 along for the ride.

History[ edit ] The idea of GamersGate was conceived by Paradox Interactive in after numerous fan requests for better access to Paradox’s games were finally answered in the form of direct downloads. After Paradox sold a game to an Argentine fan via a download link that was later removed, word spread on the Paradox forums and international fans began asking if they too could purchase video games through downloads.
On 20 November , the system was officially launched under the name “Gamer’s Gate”. Interest in the service grew such that in , after other publishers requested that Gamer’s Gate distribute their games as well, Paradox decided to separate the service into an independent company called “GamersGate”. GamersGate is a client-free service that does not require users to log on in order to play purchased games. In a January article for Escapist magazine, columnist Shamus Young speculated that these features would appeal to gamers opposed to the passive DRM validation, always-on DRM , and mandatory client program downloads that were common to many of GamersGate’s top competitors.
The first major redesign occurred in May when they adopted a design that Rock, Paper, Shotgun ‘s Alec Meer described as ” GoG -esque” and “shiny”. Upon retrieval, the user installs the game and may then remove the downloader from the computer. Although the potential for video game piracy and similar abuses are present through its method, GamersGate believes that trust in consumers acts as “a source of comfort” for its customers.
However, as third party developers signed on to distribute with Gamersgate, the site’s offerings became increasingly eclectic.

I just started the pre sequel, and this will be my first time playing online. I don’t exactly understand how it works. I see that I can invite someone to play with me. What if my level 20 fried invites me to play with him? Am I going to play missions that are half way through the game with him when I am at the beginning? I don’t get how that would work.

Even though both of these games came out quite some time ago for Borderlands 2 and for The Pre-Sequel , the games are still receiving plenty of attention from both players and developers. I finished both of these Borderlands games and I enjoyed my time spent with each one, but those of you who never got a chance to try them out should definitely go ahead and play them now. Here were our findings: The host controls which missions are available or not. Enemy and weapon levels are based on the zone. However, those missions can be accomplished by anyone in the host’s game. Once completed, that mission is completed for all participating characters, even if they weren’t normally able to complete the mission because they hadn’t progressed that far in the game in single player yet.
All participating players receive the same XP, rewards, and mission completions for their character. In other words, if you run with someone who is further ahead in the plot then you, when you leave and go back to your own game not on the host’s co-op server , then you will see any missions completed during that time with the first host, even if you haven’t got to that point in the game yet. Then, once you get to those missions that you completed on another host’s game, since the missions are already complete for you, you can just go on to the next, uncompleted mission as normal.
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Co-Op FAQ
ZDragoon 4 years ago 1 Pardon, but I’ve a couple questions, as the topic name suggests. First off, what are the characters like endgame? While I preordered the game, I haven’t played it much, as the person I who said they’d be playing went disappeared, leaving me hanging.

Email Comment The Xbox One has achieved and provided many new fun games this generation. With better online features and party options, playing with friends has never been easier on Xbox Live. This can be seen in their approach to provide many cooperative experiences through popular game franchises like Gears of War and Halo. Many adopters of the original Xbox will know that playing Halo with a full team was extreme fun; as you would try your best to beat that one friend who would always screen cheat.
The idea of having a sci-fi console shooter centered around a multiplayer experience truly propelled the concept of the online home console. While consoles such as like the GameCube and PS2 had the potential for online connectivity, only the original Xbox truly invested in creating an online platform to connect gamers to their favorite games.
